Hi
I'm new to this forum!
I was hoping someone could advise me with how to tank my cellar wall.
I live in a Victorian terrace and when I moved in the walls were already painted with masonary paint. There is damp in the cellar and the paint is peeling. I'm in the process of stripping back to the brick so it can be tanked properly but the lower half of the wall (0.5mtr) doesnt seem to be brick and is made of a wettish clay / mud like texture (possibly foundations?). This part of the wall isn't in great condition (very uneven) and I'm wondering how I can go about repairing this and whether it's a good idea to just put tanking slurry straight on to it?
I plan on hiring a dehumidifier and running this before doing anything.
Thanks.
