No cold water from bathroom taps only a trickle Drainage and wastage systems and plumbing help, advice and answers

Hi,
In my bathroom, when I switch on any of the cold taps I get an extremely small trickle of water out of them. The sink tap is a mixer tap and the bath taps are individual taps. The thermostatic shower also will only run hot water. The cold water in the en-suite which is next to it (and all other taps in the house) run fine. I have noticed that if I switch on the cold tap and then switch on the shower to hot, the water will start flowing out of the cold taps however it will be hot water. Does anyone have any ideas as to what maybe causing this?

Hi nickp
You've probably got an air lock in the cold pipework. Try using a mains hose to blow into the open taps that don't work.

Hi Nick,

Did you get this fixed - I have exactly the same issue and it's not an airlock unfortunately.
