Good Morning Folks

I would appreciate some guidance please. I had some new windows fitted over 2 years ago - they are triple glazed. I have noticed some 'gunk' come out or the area just above where the handle is. It cleans away with a strong cleaner and elbow grease. However I never had these on my older windows. I have been advised this is due to the great filtration system my windows have - so great it makes my windows look grubby and this happens when its rains. They came and took out two chunks from all the windows frames to help the water filter through. I just need some additional guidance as to what is going on here. All help appreciated.

Are you referring to the dirt in the frame channel or the dirt in the edge of the glazing bead.

In that case the most likely cause is that there are problems with the external sealing to the glazing units.
Have a look at the outside and see if there are gaps in the external rubber bead - poorly joined corners are the most likely issue.

The rebate that the TGU's are fitted in should be totally sealed to outside rain. Your original post indicates that the problem occurs when it rains so rainwater must be getting between the TGU and the frame rubber seals. The rubber seal should be a tight fit against the TGU so try pushing the TGU inwards and see if you get a gap.
