Sink and low pedestal after replacing tiles with lino

by EHeath » Mon Aug 24, 2020 11:31 am

Hi
We recently had our tile floor replaced by lino in the bathroom. As the floor is now lower the sink pedestal is no longer touching the bowl and is not fixed to the floor so is loose. When we queried this with the plumber they didn't suggest that it needed fixing. Is this safe or could the sink come away from the wall if it is not sorted? The sink is attached to the wall with screw fittings.

Hi eheath
It is not possible to say whether the sink is OK being freestanding, it depends on the wall material and the fixings used.
