Worcester boiler and one way heating system issues

by bagshawclan » Wed Sep 09, 2020 8:40 pm

I currently have a Worcester boiler and a one way heating system but we have trouble with it. We can't get rooms evenly heated and the room where the last radiator is is freezing cold. We are looking to relocate our boiler and change 3 radiators but we thought it might be worth converting to a two way system. Is it worth doing? We have been quoted £2,700 to carry out the work. We have 10 radiators and the boiler is 5 years old.

Hi bagshawclan
Yes it will be a good idea to change to a two pipe system - one pipe systems are ok for small installations.

Depends on radiators, the Myson fan assisted radiator would work better all piped in series, but in the main we use parallel pipe work, a by-pass valve, and TRV on each radiator.
