How can I reattach the shower pull fitting to ceiling. I've tried strong glue but does not hold when I pull the cord. Any suggestions would help.

Hi jingles
You will need to put screws up through the fitting and into the ceiling.
If there is no timber above eg a joist you will have to try and get a piece of timber in place so you can screw into this. Turn off the electricity before you take the switch apart.
