Two switch cables to ceiling light

by tom_df » Sun Oct 04, 2020 5:10 pm

I have one circuit cable (from a junction box) and two switch cables coming to a new light fitting. The fitting has no integral terminal blocks other than the earth terminal on the decorative metal rose, so I can only use choc block. What's the wiring scheme for this?

I *think* it's this:
Block A - all three lives
Block B - both switched lives and lamp live
Block C - circuit neutral and lamp neutral

I am curious to know why you say you have two switch cables at the light? and how did you arrive at that conclusion?

At a ceiling rose yes, you would expect 3 cables, but not configured how you suggest.

I would also point out there is a better connector available wago connectors.
