Laminate flooring supplier and price differences

by Smallzoo » Sat Oct 24, 2020 11:07 am

I know this will be very subjective but I am looking at replacing the laminate floor in one of our rooms

It is 12 sqm

I cant believe the difference in price between suppliers but then I ask does the quality justify the price

In a well know diy store we found an 8mm white oak laminate effect for £10/sqm yet an another supplier directwoordflooring the 10mm Kronotex laminate was £17/sqm

I will laying the floor myself so is 10mm better/easier to lay than 8mm and is difference £120 vs £205 not worth thinking about

thanks

Hi smallzoo
I’d love to tell you that you get what you pay for but this is no longer so. Pick a known brand and shop around - you will find clipping the panels together easier. Don’t go for the cheapest it will not be splash resistant and will not clip together very well.
