Bottlecap down shower waste pipe Drainage and wastage systems and plumbing help, advice and answers

Hi,

I have a low rise shower tray and while cleaning the waste cover a plastic bottlecap found its way down the wastepipe - now the shower wont drain properly.

I cannot see down the pipe or feel the cap and have tried fixing a wet and dry vac with a rubber hose to try and suck it out with no success.

Any ideas what to try next?

Try pouring lots of water down the waste until it's full then suck that out. The water flow might wash the obstruction out.
