Help required! This image is a downstairs internal party wall. The damp runs in a band between the two chimney breasts across both the front and back rooms, but is not on the chimney breasts themselves. Please can anyone advise what the cause of this damp might be and how it can be fixed?

Suggest you talk to you neighbours and see what they have against this particular bit of wall.
