With a overload under 25 amp in the main yes, not so easy in a house where likely using a ring final and a 32 amp supply, but with a radial supply no real problem.
However be aware not all outbuildings are wired as we think they should, I have seen a lovely garage consumer unit and really tidy wiring but on investigation found take as an unfused spur from a socket in the house with under size cable.
I even found a new build with 2.5 mm running length of house, then 6 mm SWA going from junction box to garage, so at garage one thinks that's OK 6 mm cable, then go to consumer unit to isolate and see on 10 amp MCB so remove lid to change and find only feeding 2.5 mm cable. Then found junction box and had to wire 6 mm SWA from junction box to consumer unit to up grade MCB. And this was not a DIY job, it was like that from new.
So inspection and testing is important, you can't assume.
