removing a downstairs loo

by John Boy » Mon Sep 24, 2007 2:38 pm

Hi
I'm considering removing a downstairs loo in order to use the space for another purpose. What should I consider when capping the soil pipe? The stack continues on upstairs and is therefore vented, can I just cap the downstairs branch pipe so it is completely sealed i.e. airtight?

Many thanks.
