Hi All,

I have had major damp problems at my house which have been a combination of problems, one of which was the high level of the patio.
I have taken the Indian Stone Flags up and excavated 16 tons of earth, pictures show before and after.
Yet still despite the ground level outside now being lower than the floor level in the void, I am getting an ingress of water on my party wall in the void and the insurance are attempting to reject, despite them not actually ascertaining where/how this water is bleeding in from the party wall and very possibly next doors void.
I would like some opinions on next doors extension, the foundation for which appears of inadequate depth and possibly contributing to water getting into next doors void then mine.
Should the foundation for this should really be deeper?

Questions regarding the reinstatement of the patio;
Just to belt and braces for any future lower level water ingress, my thoughts are while it is all exposed get my wall re-pointed all the way down where it will be under the ground level, and put some sort of membrane against the wall? Necessary, OTT?
Also planned was to install a french drain system against the foundation wall to ensure any future standing water levels will never breach the floor level against the wall.
Then above put an Acor drain against the wall at surface level, ensure the patio slopes away from the house (despite the ACOR drain)
