Just after people’s opinions. Have had a small extension build and have noticed that the cavity wall insulation. (Rockwool) is absolutely soaking. The building was done in November but checked today for a new window goes in and couldn’t believe how wet it was. There is limited insulation anyway, can move my hand around freely in parts between blockwork and bricks. Should this be dry and is it likely to cause problems being so wet?

The cavity wall insulation should be held against the inner cavity with clips fitted on the wall ties. It may well be that the insulation will not dry out until the summer especially if it was installed in the rain and not covered.

Really appreciate your response, thanks.
Builder is on site today and will ask him as there are definitely no clips holding it back. Can’t moan too much as he has already threatened to walk away as I keep finding defects!! The brickwork is wonky and not level. Thanks again.
