I'm currently working on the kitchen and before fitting new wanted to ask about floor levelling. In most places the old vinyl flooring is sound, fixed well and level. Its floor boards with a ply covering and then vinyl. The intention was to lay a underlay, under floor heating and then a 8mm laminate floor on top of the existing floor covering which I believe to be fine. The issue is by the back door the floor slopes away as can be seen in the attached photo. Is this enough of a slope to warrant trying to level it before fitting new floor? If so what can be done? Ideally I'd leave the floor covering and ply that's underneath it - I wondered about removing the vinyl local to the level difference and using a self levelling compound perhaps? Any help greatly received
