Coving removed plastering touch up advice

by Ozzydo » Tue Feb 02, 2021 8:08 pm

Hi All

I am currently renovating my bathroom and have removed the coving as we don't want it.

The ceiling has previously been skimmed meaning there is a small lip where the coving has been removed. Can you just skim the gap where the coving has been removed to the same level as the ceiling? If so what's the best product/ method?

Also where the ceiling meets the walls it has cracked all the way along one wall. What is the best method to sort this and stop it coming back?

Any help and advice would be great.

Thanks

Hi ozzydo
If you are ok with plastering use standard board finish, sand the edge to blend in the join.
You could try flexible decorators caulk for the crack but this may not give a permanent solution.
