Wind noise in chimmney after replacing chimney pot

by Teddy28 » Sat Feb 20, 2021 3:16 pm

Apologies if this kind of query already posted. Just moved into bungalow and had a gas stove fitted with chimney liner. Chimney pot (terracotta) was removed and replaced with a small metal vented ball type thing. Since then the wind noise has been so loud you can't hear the radio. Externally it looks ugly and we'd rather have something looking like a proper chimney pot, can we get original pot fitted back over the metal one?
Thanks

Hi teddy28
You must talk to the Gassafe installer person to establish what can be done which will comply with regulations.
