Hi,

I am after some advise.
I am planning to put up some privacy mesh, picture attached.
My plan is to use 50mmx50mmx2m fence posts attached to post spikes. Posts every 1.8m, put chicken wire mesh for added support and attach the privacy screen to the chicken wire mesh.

Would this work or do I need 75mm posts?

The screen will act as a giant sail, 50x50 posts will be inadequate. Go for 75x75 and choose your post spikes carefully - they will need have deep sockets and ideally clamp bolts on opposite sides.
