Replacing a rotten floorboard near a bath

by gemma2014 » Mon Apr 05, 2021 11:01 pm

A hole has appeared between the wall and bath panel (it gets quite wet here from using the shower). I think the floorboard has rotted.

We're not great or confident at DIY, but also don't have many funds. Is fixing this a difficult job?

Hi gemma2014
You will have problems matching the torus skirting so cutting a piece out and replacing it is not an option.
Probably better to fit another moulding on top the existing to hide the hole and gap.

Hi gemma2014
Moulding is a length of timber that is shaped in section.
It’s difficult to tell how high the hole is but quadrant and Scotia come in all sorts of sizes.
