Woodworm in weatherboarding of summer house

by Jnanaruchi » Wed Apr 07, 2021 12:45 pm

Hi guys,
I've got a couple of summer houses and have some live woodworm in just the weatherboarding at the top where the sun don't shine, so to speak!
Structurally they're blockwork built with metal roof joists and roofing so I don't think it can make the building unsound.
Do I need to remove the woodworm?
Thanks for any help,

Pete

Hi juanaruchi
No very little advantage in getting rid of the timber with the woodworm.
Pressure clean the cladding, allow to dry thoroughly and then spray with a garden stain incorporating woodworm killer.
