My wife wanted me to put a strip light above her sewing desk operated by a pull cord and powered by a 3 pin plug can someone please tell me what cooled wire goes to L1 L2 and com

Remove plug from socket.
Brown from plug goes to common in light switch.
L1 Brown from switch goes to light.
There should be an earth terminal in switch connect both G/Y.
Use a terminal block or Waggo connector to connect both blues together.
