Plumbing Issue With Buzzing Double Check Valve

by Barbastelle » Tue May 04, 2021 12:06 am

Dear DIY Doctor & users, This is my first post.
Why is the 15mm Double Check valve buzzing as it is irritating, so please how do i fix it ? Is the tank float valve coursing it as it may be when the tank nearly full ?
I have had a Certificate of Compliance (WIAPS) given to me with the fitters membership number on it for the fitting of a new 25mm DMPE water pipe to the house with 15mm copper pipe to existing. Within his 15mm pipe was fitted 15mm stopcock, 15mm Double Check Valve DZR BS6282 & MT cock Type A. The Double Check Valve is not Full Bore (if available) nor is the stopcock if relevant. We have a 25gallon cold water tank with 15mm pipe to Part 1 Float Valve.

Hi barbastelle
If the check valve is the issue probably easiest solution is to remove it. At the same time fit a part 2 ball valve to comply with regs.
