Hello All, I just moved into a new house, this is the fence slightly blown down, it is just one fence connecting the garage to the another fence, the post is not sunk into the ground and nails are used to secure one side to the one post and the other to the other fence. Please can someone confirm if this is normal? Thank you.

It doesn’t look too good - the arris rail which fixes into the post on the corner has been stopped short. The post part way down the boundary fence certainly should have been buried in the ground so it is independent of the neighbours fence.
Complain to the developer in writing.

Thank you stoneyboy, I checked with the site manager, he said this is "normal" since it is single fence connecting to a row of fences and a garage. They reattached the fence with nails and screws.

If both the long fence and the one which blew over are both yours or neither yours then the penny pinching construction method condoned by the site manager does not matter.
However if the one which blew over is yours and the long one is owned by others there is the chance that next time it blows over it could do damage to the long one for which you would be liable.
Fixing a fence post to feather edged boarding is not right.
