What term to use to search for flat 'edging' for patio

by ACnorth » Mon Jun 07, 2021 2:00 am

Hello, help please, we want to lay some slim long tiles/pavers not more than about 3 inch width but can be much longer, and 20mm depth, to line the edge of our patio which will be done in porcelain. We've seen umpteen pictures of nice looking patios with sleek lines of that line the edge of the patio area (usually different colour) and I cannot for some reason search to buy the thing!!

Tried searching for patio edging, setts, just cannot find anything. Edging tends to be for items much thicker in depth to 20mm and they kind of used to line flowerbeds and are raised. Reason we want 20mm depth is for the same depth as the porcelain outdoor paving slabs so they can all be placed on same base.

Found the odd product online but absolutely ridiculous prices. We only want to line patio areas, about 25 - 30 metres so why are we looking at paying £2 - 3k? Thanks in advance.

Hi acnorth
Suggest you find the colour/pattern you want in a porcelain paving slab and have it cut up into the widths you would like.
Regards S
