Hi all, I have a damp patch that keeps appearing overnight on an external wall and generally dries during the day. I've checked for leaks etc but there no apparent source of the reoccurring damp. We used to have outside furniture sited along the wall and wondered if the bricks have somehow become permeable? soaking in the moisture from the air at night? I'm baffled and looking for a bit of advice, many thanks.

The most likely cause is that you have a loo or tank overflow above this area. Check your ballvalves and see if they are dripping.
