I moved into an early Victorian house and the basement floor was covered with slates over plywood.
All this was removed and put down some laminated flooring with the necessary some spongy underfloor.
A few months in and now we started seeing green mould on only two corners. Both face external walls, but so do the rest of the wall between them. Mould only appears in those two corners.
I'd imagine that the long term solution might be to rip the floor up and the skirting board and apply some sort of damp proof product, but this would not explain why it's appearing only in those corners.
What can i do in the short term that doesn't destroy the skirting board (MDF)?
Thanks.
