Adapting Mixer Tap to Shower by Adding Hose

by HamiltonLeight » Mon Aug 02, 2021 12:36 pm

Hi all,

I've just moved into a house and it has an electric shower (which is poor) but it has a combi boiler and these taps in already.

If I wanted to add a shower, would it just be a case of taking that nut off where the shower has been capped off and adding a shower hose? (Image attached)

Thanks for your help.

Hi hamiltonleight
Yes in an ideal world you should be able to do as you suggest. Realistically it’s been capped for a reason so you may need to recondition the shower valve for it to work correctly.
