Correct way to connect two compression fittings together

by JackG » Mon Aug 09, 2021 3:07 pm

Hi. Stupid question I think. Hope I'm in the right place.
I have an isolation valve and an elbow both of which have 15mm compression fittings that would normally connect to copper pipe. What would be the correct fitting to use if I need to connect them directly to each other. Surely I don't have to use a short piece of pipe to accomplish this? (Newbie playing under the sink).
Thanks for any help.

Hi jackg
You will need a 1/2” bsp female socket and since none of the threads will be tapered you will also need ptfe tape of thread sealant.
