Changing Economy 7 to day rate.

by JohnAli » Sat Oct 16, 2021 12:54 pm

I have a large blower type storage heater upstairs which blows the air into the various rooms upstairs and is on Economy 7.

Downstairs I have 4 Storage heaters for the rooms also on Economy 7 as is the water heater.

I am getting rid of storage heaters downstairs and replacing with "normal" heaters so I need to change the supply to day rate for the 4 heaters. However I would like to keep the existing heater upstairs and the water heater on economy 7.

Question is, who do I get to do this an Electrician or do I have to contact SSE, or both?

Cheers, John.

Economy 7 is a tariff not a system, it can be used in many diffrent ways, it started with two diffrent meters one was white, but that is long gone.

Likely you need an electrician, but seems economy 7 is now being retired except in Scotland.
