Good evening, I have recently downsized to an old cottage, all the windows inside have exposed stone, which I loved when I viewed it . However since moving in I’ve noticed that the kitchen and bathroom ones in particular are quite dirty and very cold to the touch, so I’m wondering how I clean them as the surface is rough and if the coldness will make damp? I’m a single mum and I don’t know what to do about them tbh.

Hi dawn50,
A lot will depend on what the stone is and what has been applied in the past - try using washing up liquid in hot water to start. You can then move on to more aggressive cleaners depending on the results.
