Water Going In Outlet In Water Tank

by William2106 » Sat Nov 06, 2021 5:53 pm

We have just had a bathroom fitted in the house and since this we have had no hot water or central heating (boiler fails to fire up)

Also during we noticed the water tank in the loft was overflowing. So spent today investigating and when you open the gate valve from the outlet pipe in the water tank. Water is going IN the water tank rather than out. Which would have been the cause for the overflowing tank.

Checked online and it says it could be a faulty mixer tap. Checked these and couldn’t get it to work. But I noticed the plumber had connected 2 pipes in the landing which weren’t connected before.

Any recommendations on what to check or just pay for a plumber to come check it out.

Hi william2106,
Get the installer back to sort this out, you should not have to pay any extra for creative plumbing.
