Wooden wall cladding

by enfield250 » Tue Nov 09, 2021 3:58 pm

Hello!
I am about to have my shower room re-tiled.
The house has solid walls that have been battened and clad with knotty pine tongue and groove.
The walls in the shower room were tiled about 10 years ago with white 6 x 6 tiles. I have been removing these tiles and they seem to come away very easily.
Is it ok to re-tile over this cladding?
Cheers

Hi enfield250,
Probably worth removing the cladding or fixing tile backer boards in the tiled areas.
Regards S
