Leaking porch door following work carried out by local company

by Brianhi » Tue Jan 11, 2022 12:36 pm

Hi all - I am new here so please be gentle lol...

I wonder if anyone in the DG trade could give their opinion on the quality and suitability of work carried out by a local company on my front porch.

The job was to resite the entrance door from the front to the side of the porch - effectively swapping a full height glazed unit and the porch door.

Since this has been completed anytime it rains I get water ingress under the door. The company have been out twice to rectify but the leak persists in the same place.

I have tried to attach some photos of the completed works and the subsequent remedial works but am having trouble resizing them sadly. As a layman this looks as if its a bodge job tbh and would appreciate any comments as to the work carried out and realistically what needs to be done to bring up to the correct standard.

I am currently in a quite nasty dispute with the company and really need to know how to proceed...they are not registered with FENSA, it seems only with Checkatrade.

I will continue to try to get photos up - unless anyone can help me do that ?

Cheers

Hi brianhi,
It is not possible to advise you without pictures - have a look at the image post in the welcome section under index. There is no need for your contractor to be fensa registered if they are not replacing glazing elements.
