Combi Boiler drain to remove radiator from wall

by Maddog551 » Sun Feb 13, 2022 6:56 pm

Hi guys. Need some advice. Moved into a bungalow and looking to remove a radiator completely as a wall is being removed

I'm fine with the plumbing etc of it however none of the radiators or under floor pipes have a drainage point or drain valve.

I've been looking at the pipework below and on the radiator closest to the boiler is a these two cogs. (Image attached) can I use these to drain the system if so do i use the one connected to the thermostatic valve or the lockshield?

Many thanks

Hi maddog551,
Yes they should be good for draining the system but you may have to use both to clear dead legs in the system.
