Tightening skirting board to plasterboard wall

Ho do you tighten a skirting board attached to a plasterboard wall. One end has become loose but I can't take it off. What raw plug/screw combination will do the job?

Hi market,
If it is a stud based wall you should be able to screw into either the floor plate or one of the upright studs.
If it is a dry lined masonry wall fix through the skirting and plasterboard into the wall using standard screws and plugs.

Thanks very much. It is a dry lined wall but how do I get a plug through the skirting board into the wall?

Hi market,
If you use 5mm screws drill a 6mm hole through the skirting board and the plasterboard. Change to a 6mm masonry bit and drill into the wall. Drive a 6mm wall plug into the hole until it is flush with the face of the skirting board, then use the screw to drive it deeper so it is in the masonry wall, then screw the screw home.
