Garage Sockets & Lights Blown, RCB not tripped

by Scatcat1994 » Tue Mar 15, 2022 2:45 pm

Hi guys, I was using my welder in my garage and as I moved it, the connections I had soldered onto the plug popped free and I believe shorted.

The sockets and lights both went out.

I checked the RCB's and none of them had tripped. I reset them and turned them back on still nothing.

I'm not really sure whats happened, the fuse in the plug for the welder itself didn't blow as I would have expected.

Any advice on what to check for next? Anything I can check for myself or is it a straight electrician job?

Thanks for looking guys,

-Scott

I suggest you get an electrician and show him/her exactly what you have done.
