Dodgy window sealant around new rosewood double glazing

by Jonahea » Sun Apr 10, 2022 9:34 pm

Hi - so I’ve just had some rosewood double glazing done and all around the edge it’s some serious questionable sealant. The seal is between the trim and the frame and they even used it over over chips to hide where the the white was coming through.

Is it normal to add sealant here? Any way to tidy this up?

Hi jonahea,
What a mess - there is no way to rectify this because the wood effect is just a foil skin and scraping will cut into it.
Do not pay the installer until remedial works have been carried out.
Regards S
