Changing fused spur to single socket

by GR1587 » Fri Apr 29, 2022 3:21 pm

I’ve recently changed a 13amp fused spur to a single socket.

It’s on the 32amp circuit breaker in the fuse box.

There is only one set of cables in the back of the socket (one each of L,N,E).

Im not sure where the wire comes from ie. another socket, junction box etc.
Will that matter or will I be better hardwiring to a fused spur?

Hi gr1587,
Provided the socket passes testing and it has 2.5mm cables going to it and it is not for equipment outside you should be ok.

Thanks,
I will get it tested by electrician when he comes to do a few other jobs. It is 2.5mm cable and for indoor use.

Cheers
