In a new build, am i right in thinking that the earth size is the following,
16mm from incoming mains to consumer unit, then 10mm to gas meter and incoming water mains, with everything else 4mm, ie cross bonding bathroom, kitchen sink, boiler etc. clarification would be most appreciated.

Hi Paul,
Yes, as long as the supply tails are no bigger than 35mm2 then that will be fine. Remember 600mm max on consumer side of gas meter/ water meter, hard pipe, before any branches or if meters are external connect at point of entry as above.

Hi paul, spot on!
cross bonding can be 2.5mm2 if 'mechanically protected' but as difficult to do 4mm2 is norm. regards SPARX
