Caple Electric Hob - broken knob

by oonaghmac21 » Tue May 24, 2022 8:36 pm

Hi

Do I need an electrician to remove the ceramic hob to replace the knob. It snapped right near the bottom of the shaft within the recess. Or could a novice do this if extremely careful with electric supply? I cant find anything online in terms of how to replace or fix one of these knobs.
Thanks,
Oonagh

A hob is an appliance or "white goods" You need a white goods engineer to replace your broken switch.
You can also contact Caple who will fix it for a set fee.

Oh, for future referance, there is no such thing as

Electricity does not worry how careful you are, it will kill anyone.
