Fencing needs to be straightening by digging concrete posts

by Manjit » Fri Jul 01, 2022 9:42 pm

My fence has concrete posts and are not very striaght. The posts are 10 years old The first only needs to move 6 inches the last about 18 inches to get fence striaght. Can I dig out the posts and reuse them again or do I need new posts. There are 7 post to be fixed.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Hi manjit,
Yes dig the posts out and reuse them, they are probably better quality than new ones.

Do I need remove the concrete from the posts before reuseing the posts and what tools do you recommend I use for removing the posts. Please forgive me for asking silly questions as this is the first time for doing this job.
Thanks

Hi manjit,
You will need a narrow spade to dig holes where you want the post to be and a long crowbar to lever the post with its concrete into position for the ones being moved 6". The ones you are moving 18" just dig a new hole.
