I had the same problem with zone pumps, idea was pump only circulated water around one zone, but in practice the other zone heated with reverse flow.
So you have a pump circulating water around the UFH which is independent to the main pump, but if non return valves missed out, you can get reverse flow.
But there are so many ways to install UFH, there is no list of Plans like normal central heating, in the main idea is UFH removes the chill, and the radiators set the temperature, this is because UFH is very slow to react, and when sun comes out, you don't want the room still to be heated, so it depends how it has been set up.
One idea is UFH is from the return of the radiator, so always both run together.
More common is the manifold and special controller like the Heatmiser UH8 etc, however we call the design guys heating and ventilation engineers, and we normally think of a engineer in the UK as some one trained above level 3, i.e. gone to a higher education like a university.
It is easy to fit a radiator and linked TRV in every room and use some thing like Drayton Wiser or Honeywell EvoHome which does all the hard work for you.
But if you want to use cheaper controls, it takes more skill to set it up, and although an engineer, I am an electrical engineer not heating and ventilation, and the maths gets complex, working out air changes and loses with the heat recovery unit running, I would not expect to have simple vents when using UFH, it would likely be a heat recovery unit. It would not make sense to fit UFH without one.
