Shower Switch

by sasgps » Thu Oct 04, 2007 4:04 pm

I have a shower in the bathroom connected to a 40 amp fuse in the mains box through an on-off switch with a red warning light, Just recently I have detected a smell coming from the switch when the shower is being used for a long period and the switch feels warm to touch. Is there likely to be a problem with the shower or does the switch need replaced ?
Thanks for any advice.

SASGPS.

WITH CIRCUIT ISOLATED, INSPECT THE INSIDE OF SWITCH.
LOOSE CONNECTIONS CAN CAUSE ARCING AND OVERHEATING OF SWITCH TERMINALS.
