Water Ingress causing damp in downstairs passage

by JJO » Thu Aug 11, 2022 6:53 pm

My upstairs neighbor has damp in his downstairs passage way leading to his yard. My bathroom is on the other side of the wall with the damp. Specifically my shower, however the shower sprays down onto the tiled wall, there is no pipe work inside that area. The shower has been in place for 16 years and the damp has been present for a month. Any thoughts or advice would be very much appreciated. Neighbour thinks it is our fault.

Hi jjo,
If the pictures are of your neighbours passageway it is probable that some of your tiled joints have become porous.
Take out and regrout the wall and see if it solves the problem.
