Water continually running in toilet cistern

by SimplyEif » Fri Aug 12, 2022 4:30 pm

I noticed recently that water is continually running into the water cistern.

See attached images.

I tried adjusting the nut you can see but this didn't make a difference.

Any thoughts?

Hi simplyeif,
If you cistern is continually filling it must also be continually emptying. Have a look for the overflow and look in the pan for continuously running water.
Either way the most likely problem is that the washer in the fill valve has failed. Start by replacing the washer.
