Dripping Noise when Hot water timer comes on

by orsoncart » Sun Nov 06, 2022 10:43 am

Had turned boiler off and not timer. Timer had been set for 8am for hot water. At 8:08each day im hearing a drip every few minutes somewhere in the house like the sound of water dripping against porcelain. Carries on for 2 hours getting longer apart then stops. Could that have been caused by leaving the timer on and no boiler or should i be looking elsewhere.

Hi orsoncart,
If you have a tank fed system it could be an overflow from the header tank. Could always be a leak but presumably you've looked for that.
