Bashed painted wallpaper

by Jnanaruchi108 » Mon Nov 14, 2022 4:31 pm

Hello all, I bashed some wallpaper with a new sofa, see photo attached.
I have some of the paint that I think was on the wallpaper.
How could I fix it? Can I just put some filler in and paint over it? Will it give the right texture?
Many thanks in advance
Pete

Hi jnanaruchi108,
Looks like the paper is a lining paper, it is unlikely that you will match the texture by surface filling. Cut out a section from some new paper put this on the wall and cut through the new and old papers. Remove the section from the wall and fill and decorate the wall, then stick the new piece in place and decorate.

Thanks Stoneyboy, yes the texture is a bit off, I've tried using a sponge to give it some stippling, we'll see!
