Here is the right side of the window

Hi I was wondering if anyone could help? I recently moved into a flat and its in need of re decorating. I started on one of the reveals around the window and scraped away some old caulk between the plaster and window sill and found a small deep hole Looking through the hole there is an open gap and it is possible to see the brick work beyond. I am not sure how to fill this hole and make the surrounding area good again.I was thinking about filling the gap with expandable foam then plaster over.I have attached some photos of the left and right of the reveal.Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Hi paul72,
Apply expanding foam sparingly, when fully set cut back enough for a skim of plaster.
Unfortunately this will always be a problem area because of the replacement windows.
