Sorry if this has been covered already, but i am after some advice. Im renovating a 1930s property and while removing the old alarm system i noticed water under my suspended wooden floor after heavy rain. I did a leak test on the drainage and it showed nothing, but then i poured the leak detection fluid down my drive and checked again. This seems to be where the water is entering the property.
My plan now is to dig a trench outside and repoint the brickwork below the ground level possibly re laying that part of the driveway with a more pronounced slope away from the wall. The ground is mostly clay so doesnt drain the best.
Is this the correct train of though to prevent further water ingress? Is there anything else i should be considering doing?
