Underfloor insulation board and reinstalling

by Brooster » Sat Jan 21, 2023 9:26 am

Hi all
Need some ideas. I have a suspended floor covered in engineered boarding. There is no access hatch ( plumbers cut a square in a corner to fit pipes but it’s not large enough to allow access for a person). However when fitting pipe insulation ( because the plumber didn’t do a great job with that) I saw there are two rigid insulation panels which have dropped but still have one edge attached and theoretically could be swung back up. But it will be a tight fit. The crawl space is about 18 inches or so. Short of lifting the boards which would need a joiner, does anyone have any ideas how to reinstall the two panels or should I just leave it?
